COCOON BLOUSON COAT

The Cocoon Blouson Coat originated from an oversized vintage MA-1 discovered in a Parisian vintage shop. Fascinated by its generous proportions and protective silhouette, TKA reinterpreted this military garment through the lens of couture pattern cutting.

At the back, a distinctive fan-shaped construction inspired by couture coatmaking creates TKA's signature draped volume. This architectural approach introduces movement and depth, transforming the utilitarian origins of the MA-1 into a sculptural silhouette.

Cut with relaxed kimono sleeves that extend seamlessly from the body, the coat envelops the wearer in generous volume while maintaining freedom of movement and remarkable comfort. Protective yet lightweight, the silhouette creates a unique balance between presence and ease.

Crafted from premium virgin wool woven by one of Italy's historic mills, the fabric was selected for its ability to hold volume while retaining softness and fluidity. The ribbed trims are custom-developed by a French knitwear specialist using a blend of wool and a small percentage of acrylic yarn, giving a refined and contemporary finish.

A double-slider zipper by Riri completes the front closure, while the interior is lined with Italian twill viscose for comfort and ease of wear.

The rich cognac color recalls the wooden sculptures that filled the atelier of Constantin Brâncuși, reinforcing the connection between fashion and sculpture that lies at the heart of the design.

Neither a traditional coat nor a conventional blouson, the piece exists between tailoring and sportswear, structure and lightness.

It embodies TKA's ongoing pursuit of translating couture techniques into modern everyday garments.

More than outerwear, it is a wearable sculpture shaped through volume, movement, and craftsmanship.
